Open Question: I feel lost and need help.?
*I’m sorry this is long*

I’m an 18 year old female in college. I live in Illinois and suffer from ibs. I had to get a new roommate two months ago because the old one couldn’t handle college and got kicked out. My new roommate sells drugs out of our dorm room and brings her boyfriend, his friends and her friends to spend the night all the time. Her boyfriends friend has tried to flirt with me and asked me to have sex with him. He stares at me at my body constantly. I was getting ready for an event for my organization that required me to wear a dress and he said I should put it on in front of him and he tried to touch my hand. I locked myself in the bathroom for the remainder of the time before I had to leave. I was sexually abused when I was younger and I hate being touched. She gave them her keys the other day and they came in the room while I was sleeping and started playing video games. I feel extremely uncomfortable in my own room so I leave. They’ve been in my room packaging drugs for the last three days. I’ve talked to her about it directly and she told me to get over it. My RA is trying to help me but I rarely see him. I joined an organization on campus and I love it but I feel like the members are very cliquish and purposely leave people out when they get together.
I go to a small school and its really hard to make friends because I’m not from around the area.
My family doesn’t support my decision to go to college so I don’t have them to talk to. The only family members I speak to are my grandmother, sister and brother. My grandma lives near Chicago where I’m from and she’s 88 she can’t do much to help because she recovering from colon cancer. My brother is getting me car fixed so I can find a job so I hate to bother him with my problems since he makes sure I have money for personal supplies and currently pays my phone bill because I’m not working yet. My sister is expecting her fourth child in April and dealing with her husband losing his job and them having to move so talking to her is out of the question.
I haven’t sleep in three days due to her having that man in our room. I tried sleeping in the lounge but people come in and out microwaving food. Last night when I came into my room the man who keeps hitting on me was in there alone I pretended to be on my cell phone, got clothes and left. I walked in the pouring rain to the apartment complex by the campus and spent the night with a friend from my organization in his apartment on the couch. I feel extremely alone and depressed because of this stress my ibs has been acting up and my hair is falling out.I have to maintain a 3.0 for my scholarships and I’m doing that with ease I don’t have any friends and I’m just lost I feel like I have no hope and nowhere to turn. I need advice sorry this is so long.

I have a Red Pocket Sim card that was previously used on the RedPocket network. I ported my phone number to Google voice and after the porting was complete I didn’t have service. Open Question: Should I do what’s morally right or what’s actually right?
So I have this friend and she and I have been on a cell phone plan since August.
I pay half and she pays half but it is under HER name.
In the whole near 7 months she never once has allowed me access to the account, every time I needed to troubleshoot my phone I have to have her permission, I also don’t have the account password which is needed to pay the bill, because you have to access the account to pay it, so it forces me to give her money each month.

Currently, our bill is $524 and $238 of that is past due, which means, she obviously hasn’t been putting money towards the bill, which means my money I pay for MY phone is not getting used properly.
Also the cost of our bill has been going up and up each month for some unknown reason.
First I was paying her $70 a month and now I am paying her $120/mo.

Every time she gets pissed at me, she threatens to suspend my phone, like I am some child who needs to be punished. I won’t tolerate being treated like that, I am 22 and she is 18, I won’t take that from some 18 year old.

The phone is not in my name, it does not affect me in any way, so I have a lot of options.

Option 1: Give her back the phone, after wiping all the info off of it and telling her where she can shove the phone, leaving her with paying for both lines.

Option 2: Get a shitty phone and put it on that line and tell her that I “broke” my phone and had to temporarily. Then give my Droid to my boyfriend because he really wants one. Then tell her I am no longer going to be on the plan with her and tell her where she can shove our friendship. That way I get to keep the phone and give it to my boyfriend.

Option 3: Pay the $200 cancellation fee so I can keep my number and port my number over to the new company I am already going with (Sprint) and then that way I also can keep the Droid I have now with Verizon and then give it to my boyfriend. This option requires me to be morally correct.

Option 4: I do the same as option 3 but I sell the phone to have extra cash and I don’t give my boyfriend the phone.

Either way I am going over to Sprint because I can get unlimited everything for $50 since an employee is hooking me up with a special account.
I just have to be a nice person and pay her the $200 cancellation fee to have my number ported over to Sprint and to be able to give my boyfriend my Droid.

My boyfriend says I should just tell her where she can shove it and he is leaning towards option 2, which so am I.

What should I do?
I know none of my options aren’t really nice but I don’t believe in this whole being nice to people even though they are horrid to you, I think it just sends the message that they can do whatever they want to whoever they want.

It was at one of the cell phone case ‘carts’, the salesperson told me it was an authentic ‘Otterbox Defender’ for my iphone 4G, Upon inspection of the case I realized nowhere on the case does it have the ‘Otterbox’ Logo (not even on the inner hard case), and furthermore, I couldnt find it anywhere on the otterbox website, had to go on google to find it..

What I’m wondering is whether this really is an otterbox case.. Maybe older version? I was sold it for the price of an authentic, around $40, if it isn’t then

What can I do? He lied to me blatantly about this case to get me to buy it, and its at a mall.. Is there anything I can say to him to make him take it back and give me a refund?

Ok I’ve started talking to my now ex boyfriend around nov 2011 when we first started talking he would call me for hours..after that it changed he would call me every other day or two ..to see how I was doing and talked.. he always wanted me to be his girlfriend but I wanted to wait after 2 weeks I realized I like him as a boyfriend.. we started to date in dec 2011 now while we was in a short realtionship he wouldn’t give me his cell phone .he only gave me his house where he lived with his mother.. now I’m 22 he 24. I always ask why he was always busy with his friends all day he said he just is. At that time I started to think he was selling drugs because he was always busy and I still don’t know his cellphone even till this day .. I really didn’t feel he was talking to anybody else.. I just felt it plus why giveme hishouse number if he really di have a g.f .. I mean his mother will tell his gurl .. I mean that is what spanish mothers do sometimes. anyway I always ask myself why if he want to be with me he never comes see me.. so we did have sex once.. I wanted to wait but he was just in the mood and I gave in like a fool.. even tho we only seen each other 3 time eva. =( he went as far as almost 2 weeks after sex to call I felt stupid but he called.. However, I’m interested in what seems to be a growing number of startups and entrepreneurs at the event, and that seems to be a sign that real innovation and new business models are actually starting to happen when it comes to adding digital intelligence to the power grid and managing energy data.

Here are the top 10 trends that I took away from the event:

1. Managing big data. Managing large streams of energy data is fundamental to the future of the grid, as well as for helping consumers reduce their energy consumption. What methods the software companies use will also determine how well they’ll do in the industry. Startups like Opower and Tendril are essentially big-data plays, using cloud computing tools and sophisticated analytics, and both companies released interesting news at the show. Oracle, touting its software and data management, had a huge booth on the floor. I chatted with both the newly acquired Ecologic Analytics (bought by Landis+Gyr) and eMeter (acquired by Siemens), and these companies manage the massive amounts of data that flow off of meters for utilities. Cloud computing is no longer a dirty word for utilities; in fact, it’s likely the future of this business.

2. The Internet of Things. Beyond connecting meters and grid devices, the smart grid really extends to create the Internet of Things, connecting cars, home batteries, solar panels, light bulbs, thermostats, and consumer electronics like televisions and cell phones. The term the Internet of Things is oft-used in IT circles, but hasn’t really caught on in the smart grid and utility industries. But it will, and it will also provide new lines of business for the power grid vendors.

Open Question: How can i reverse my Karma? i feel it is affecting me now in life what do i do?
please take your time to read this so u can understand how i feel about this.I think that i am being affected by karma to this day, for a number of reasons i can state:

ex 1) A few years ago i got into a fight and i broke a kids nose during this fight and took his cell phone and sold it for $75
In 2011 i randomly got assaulted right in front of the mall and i got a pretty good bloody nose, i think it might be broke but its not crooked. I couldn’t do anything because i am out on bail still to this day and there was a security guard watching from the inside so if i did anything i could be put in jail for a few years because of the charges i have on my head, also i have gotten robbed of $75 by my suppose to be best friend i knew for 10+ years! i think karma definitely played a roll in that.

ex 2) In elementary school there was this girl that really liked me alot because i taught her how to go on the slide on the park, she wrote me letters every day atleast 20 of them, she only had one friend but everyday i would just take the letters and throw them away right in her face, it hurt her alot and i just didn’t care because of how i was as a child. in middle school a girl asked me out to a dance and i told her no and i think it hurt her feelings too. she goes to the high school i am in right now but i never talk to her. Last year during my 11th grade of high school there was this girl that really liked me, she stalked me and couldn’t stop looking at me, she was extremely shy and one day i spazed on her because she wouldn’t tell me she liked me, at the end of the year i apologized to her and she forgave me which was good.
Through out my entire four years of high school, every girl i ever asked out or flirted with was a complete failure or girls would tell me they would go out with me and then they never did or say what are you talking about? i asked a girl that i really liked out two weeks ago and she said she would go out on a date with me and was suppose to go to the movies on Friday and when i tried texting and calling she never answered, that hurt my feelings because of all the times i have been rejected.. i now know how it feels now. and i regret doing all of those things

From those two examples i believe that karma did this to me and i need to reverse it. please write a response below.

Resolved Question: Should i trust my friend?
this friend of mine and i have been friends since 2nd grade, we had many ups and downs. But after high school things changed, somehow he got into drugs and many time he was in trouble and i let him sleep in my room, with out letting know my parents that he does drugs and many time he had asked for money, he promised to return but he never did, one time he sold me a cell phone that didnt work properly, i bought it becasue i trusted him and when i asked to return the money becasue the cell phone was broken and but he didnt he just wont show up..until he wanted something, one time he even took and cell phone and didnt show up for few years.. i know it was the drugs thats making him do all that stuff..i feel bad for him and forgive him for everything.

Now, yesterday i was in cafe looking through laptop prices.. he showed up… i told him am looking to buy new laptop and he said he had been in recovery center and how becoming sober … later that evening he called me and said if you want to buy laptop he knows a good person who can sell in less prices than in market, i asked him if he had shop or something he didnt respond to that but he says he is working as a marketting officer .. he is trying to just help himself and me …

now, this is bothering me all day…. should i buy from him.. if i have forgiven him.. i should give him another chance .. ???

I am sure he has bought some residence flat somewhere, as he is doing good business of selling “Vada-pau”. he owns a mobike and cell phone . such clever tenants lease out their flats and make a source of self income,, they continue staying in chawls paying low rents, always displaying a show that they are not well off & have no income.

Open Question: A cart in a shopping mall?
Hi I own small business and i currently own several carts in different shopping malls. One of the products i sell is cell phone accessories, i own 1 of 3 cart cell phone cart in this mall. i had a great relationship with the mall manager and i was able to get a second location for the same product around 2 years ago. However, due to the complaint coming from other cart owners, i was made close the cart by the same mall manager.2 months ago, a new mall manager took over the mall and last week, she gave permission to the other cart owner whose complaints caused me to close my 2nd cart, to open his 2 nd cart in the very same spot where i had my 2 nd cart. and the new manager did not really say anything but saying i wish i knew earlier when i talked to her and explained what happened. Those carts are rented in temporary leasing program, mall has the authority to close you anytime, that is why, i know that most likely i do not have any right. But this does not change the fact that this is not just fair. Anyone suggest anything? this will cost me 3-4K a mont, please advise, thanks

We are all human, now, let us try and see what a policeman or a policewomen can and will do only for you from high to low. A good police saves you somehow out of……..and bad police arrest you, you get what you got , you like the police, you do something way off key, you get arrested, you dislike the police, so, what is a police to you,,some take advantage of them because they are their to help you, and if you do it your way, the police will do it their way, so, oh, excuse me, mother’s and father’s can police you all they want, unless you resist their wanting to help you, if they are in a single family unit, and if your mother and father are together, great, either way, it is great, now, what is a police in a car, to me? A police who has plenty of headaches and some use aspirins to feel better. Some people cling to, that the times are changing, the time never changes, people can, but some people resist and get negative, attitude comes with it. I used to ask myself, “why do any of us have to have this wicked world so full of fools, including me when I was younger? Because that’s just the way it is. I’ve been arrested so many times, I’m not crying about it nor complaining about it, I hated police for what they stood for, I would hate them for everything they stood for, and now, I carry on, I don’t love them, I recognize them, each and everyone as being beyond any abstract or concept, and, no matter what, the police won’t always be there, simply, because they aren’t appreciated, they aren’t recognized as they should and ought to be, but, to me, it had been, and it was the police officers, each doing their work, who arrested me for theft, felonious crimes, so, what is the point, easily clarified, what worked for me, may not work for you, because there are no matches in fingerprints, as each DNA structure is amped and bio-chemicalized
unique-ly different, no two are the same, there is no other Einstein such as there can never be the greatest man who ever lived, Jesus Christ, those of us or some of whoever, know about what Jesus went through went he came here without a police to save him, nor a sell phone, without the cells, the after my getting placed into custody too many times for my own good, I finally do not criminalize anything or anyone, never have, actually, the worst is the thing about hackers, drugs, sneaky, and racist remarks, white or black or brown, and who is running the show is how and what the police will do when you or me or them get whatever is going to happen to this entire parade. In point, do the crime and do the time, I’ve done mine, and the things that go on out here do not happen in prison, this is why I do not do anything that will send me back. Thank you. so. now, what is a police to me? an individual who will arrest me if I have a cell phone and talk to someone I am not supposed to be talking to.

Open Question: HR job hunt etiquette?
Had another job offer on the table. Good money, good opportunity, had some concerns with the culture and was therefore undecided but the offer was open until this past Tuesday. Decided to turn it down irrespective of what the others offered due to my gut instict. We can afford to be picky and wait for the perfect job. Anyway, followed up with the other 2 companies as soon as I got the offer. Turns out that one decided to pick another one of the 28 candidates and the other misplaced my application when they converted to a new system. No problem. Just didn’t want any rocks unturned that were left since this other company worked so quickly on processing the applications, interviewing, and extending the offer to me.

I know someone that works at the place that missplaced my application and he dug around for me and I also left a voicemail to followup the same day but without knowing that he was following up that day. The person I know also confirmed the story about the new system. 2 days later (8 days ago), I get a return call and am asked to schedule a phone interview for a few hours later and I said that I have an offer but would prefer to work there. I have the phone interview and it was moreso like a “where should we put you” and him selling me on working for the company rather than me selling them on my qualifications. It was very quick. They asked about salary range and he said that is right in the range paid for the position so that was fine. The HR man said that the person who would hire is travelling but he will see about either connecting me with this person by phone or bringing me in to meet with someone else last Friday or no later than Monday. He said not to worry if he didn’t get back to me Thursday afternoon and that he would Friday or Monday depending on this other person’s schedule. He then concluded saying that this person I know recommending me for the position “carries alot of water with the company”. Bottom line is that it sounded like it was pretty much in the bag so long as I don’t screw up an in-person interview. They have 10 identical new positions open and I am very qualified. He even said that the person they have that came from a similar background as me is one of their best rockstars in that position.

Monday around lunch time, I called his office and left a voicemail. It is now Friday and I haven’t heard anything! Do I call again and leave another voicemail, sit tight (maybe something came up where he is out of the office or the hiring person is out of the office), or call on his cell phone? The only reason I know his cell phone number is caller ID so I thought it would be inappropriate. I want to walk the line between being a pest and showing interest. The company is hiring 10 people per week according to this person I know who works there and the way he talked, there weren’t many HR people as he called this person by name (”did ____ talk to you?”). So, when I didn’t get a return call Monday or Tuesday I thought it may be for orientation of this week’s new hires. But, now I am questioning everything.

In my prior job (before moving out here a few weeks ago), I was a regulatory auditor. No one really wanted to talk to me. However, if emails and phone calls didn’t work, we would just walk over to the person’s desk and basically do whatever it took to get the information. We are professionals at walking the line between getting our information and being excessively pushy. Part of the job was to root out fraudsters and thus we had to know when people are lying. I didn’t get that impression from this guy at all that he was just feeding me a line and was then going to stop the process. The person I know there has also been a little off the radar since I last spoke with him Sunday but then he didn’t sound worried at all and said that they are really busy. If I didn’t know so many great things about this place, I would just say that they are disorganized and continue looking. But, I am confused by him showing so much interest and then not returning his voicemail or keeping his word and REALLY would much prefer to take any job at this company than work in my field anywhere else. What would you do?
